Role overview
This contract role is for a civic and public administration specialist who can help design realistic government operating environments and workflow simulations. The work supports evaluation of advanced language models used in public-sector contexts, including programs and services.
What you'll do
- Develop realistic digital workspaces that mirror everyday public-sector processes and documentation.
- Create multi-step scenarios covering policy execution, procurement, budgeting, program oversight, and coordination with stakeholders.
- Build task flows that require movement across several applications, files, and collaborators.
- Partner with civic and public administration subject matter experts to improve realism, task boundaries, and evaluation quality.
- Work independently and asynchronously with research teams to strengthen benchmark design and the overall quality of public-sector tasks.
- Convert complex government processes into clear, structured evaluation requirements.
Ideal background
The role suits professionals with substantial experience in public administration, government operations, policy implementation, procurement, or public finance. Strong exposure to federal program management, grants administration, legislative work, social services, or municipal operations is especially relevant.
Tools and domain familiarity
Experience with platforms such as Salesforce Government Cloud, Granicus, Socrata, Esri ArcGIS Hub, or DocuSign is helpful. Credentials like PMP, CGFM, FAC-C, or DAWIA are considered an advantage.
Working arrangement
This is a remote contract position with flexible time commitment. The opportunity is intended for work in the United States.
