Role summary
This opportunity is for a committed Gardener to support the upkeep and improvement of the grounds at the growing Milldale village. The position involves looking after plants, carrying out pruning, bedding and seasonal planting, and handling lawn mowing, landscaping and hedge care. The aim is to keep outdoor areas attractive and enjoyable for residents and visitors.
What the role involves
You will be responsible for maintaining gardens and outdoor spaces so they remain neat, healthy, and visually appealing throughout the year. The work is hands-on and suits someone who takes pride in presenting beautiful grounds.
- Looking after plants and supporting healthy garden growth
- Pruning and shaping plants, shrubs, and hedges
- Managing bedding displays and seasonal planting
- Mowing lawns and carrying out general lawn care
- Supporting landscaping tasks and outdoor presentation
- Maintaining outdoor spaces for residents and visitors to enjoy
Working pattern
This is a permanent full-time position. The standard schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
What you should bring
You should have a strong interest in gardening, practical experience, and the ability to care for outdoor areas with attention to detail. A friendly, approachable manner is important, as the role includes regular interaction with residents.
You will work well as part of a team, but you should also be comfortable managing tasks independently. Good organisation, efficiency, and physical fitness are important for success in this active role.
