Role overview
Mitre 10 Mega Cambridge is looking for a permanent full-time team member to join its busy garden centre in Waikato, New Zealand. This position is rostered across a 40-hour week from Thursday through Monday.
What we are looking for
The right person will enjoy helping customers, have a genuine interest in plants and gardening, and be comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with a variety of day-to-day tasks. The role suits someone who is dependable, self-driven, energetic, and able to take direction when needed.
Work environment and physical demands
This job involves outdoor work in changing weather conditions and requires a person who is happy to work as part of a team. You should bring a positive, approachable attitude and strong communication skills across all levels. The role also requires attention to standards and procedures, along with the physical ability to handle tasks such as lifting items of 20 kg or more, standing for extended periods, and using ladders.
