About Learning for Work (LFW)
Learning for Work (LFW) is looking for an experienced, driven Fundraising Manager to take charge of its resource mobilization work and help expand relationships with donors and partners.
Role Overview
In this remote full-time position, you will lead fundraising strategy, pursue new funding channels, and support the organization’s wider mission through strong donor engagement and partnership development.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and execute LFW’s fundraising and resource mobilization plan.
- Research, identify, and follow up on fresh funding prospects from institutional and private sources.
- Prepare strong proposals, concept notes, and grant submissions.
- Develop and sustain productive relationships with donors and strategic partners.
- Work closely with programme and finance teams on budgets and funding proposals.
- Track donor expectations and make sure reports are delivered accurately and on time.
- Represent LFW at donor discussions, networking sessions, and partnership events.
- Keep the funding pipeline and donor records current and organized.
- Help build partnerships that support and advance LFW’s mission.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Development, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or a similar discipline is required; a master’s degree is considered an added advantage.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in fundraising, business development, grant management, or donor relations in the NGO or development sector.
- Proven ability to secure support from bilateral, multilateral, UN, and private donors.
- Strong capability in proposal development, budgeting, and professional communication.
- Well-developed relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-moving environment.
- Good command of Microsoft Office and strong written and spoken English.
