About Structured AI
Structured AI is creating AI-powered coworkers for construction engineering. The product is designed to read complex mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil drawings and perform automated QA/QC, code-compliance, and design-consistency reviews. The company aims to become the preferred software platform for design engineers. It is a YC F25 startup, has a team of around 10 people, is based in New York, and is moving quickly. The founders started the company after more than 7 years of experience in the field and firsthand exposure to the repetitive work that pushes people out of the industry.
The Role
This is the company’s first operations hire and is intended to be a true founding-team position. The person in this seat will act as a close partner to the founders, taking on operational work, organizing chaos into repeatable processes, and making sure important items do not get missed as the company grows.
The scope is intentionally broad. In one week, the role may involve planning logistics for a conference or customer event; in another, improving the client deployment process so it becomes faster and easier to repeat; in another, creating automations for repetitive internal work so it no longer requires manual effort. The ideal candidate naturally notices recurring manual tasks and enjoys turning them into systems.
The company is built around AI, and this role is expected to be AI-native as well. The expectation is not only to use AI tools, but also to build small automations, agents, and workflows that create compounding value across the business. The company values fast learning and systems thinking more than a specific résumé.
What You Will Do
- Support the founders directly by managing priorities, drafting and sorting email and external communications, preparing for meetings, and ensuring decisions are followed through to completion.
- Own operations across events and conferences, including logistics, travel, office coordination, vendor management, scheduling, and the many small tasks that keep a fast-moving company running.
- Identify repetitive work and replace it with AI-enabled workflows, automations, and tools wherever possible.
- Build company-wide operating processes by creating cadences, systems, and documentation, then putting them into practice so they actually stick.
- Bring structure to go-to-market activity and customer deployments so onboarding and delivery become faster, more organized, and more consistent as the company scales.
Who You Are
- You care deeply about quality, pay close attention to details, and hold every email, deliverable, and deployment to a high standard.
- You are highly organized and naturally process-oriented, and you enjoy converting messy workflows into orderly systems.
- You have 1 to 2 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, or another similarly demanding, fast-paced environment, and you are comfortable operating under pressure while producing polished work.
- You are comfortable working with AI tools by default and can learn new ones quickly, including lightweight automation tools.
- You communicate clearly and strongly, especially in writing, and can represent the founders thoughtfully in internal and external interactions.
- You take ownership without ego, are willing to handle unglamorous work, and think in terms of building systems so problems do not need to be solved twice.
- You are based in New York and want to work full-time, in person, with the founding team.
Why Join
This role offers a founding-team seat, meaningful equity, and a direct view into how an AI company is built. The position also gives you the opportunity to shape the operating model of the company as it scales.
