Role Overview
A confidential construction company in Sharjah is hiring a seasoned Fleet & Equipment Operations Manager to oversee a sizeable UAE-based fleet and equipment operation. The portfolio includes more than 200 vehicles and pickups, along with asphalt machinery, piling machines, bobcats, and other construction equipment.
Core Responsibilities
In this position, you will manage day-to-day fleet deployment and operational control, ensuring equipment and vehicles are assigned effectively to project needs. You will also handle telematics and GPS tracking, monitor fuel usage through control systems, plan maintenance activities, coordinate with drivers and operators, and maintain compliance with local transport and regulatory requirements. The role further includes managing permits, registrations, fines, and cost-efficiency initiatives across the fleet.
Requirements
The employer is seeking a candidate with a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, Transportation, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline. A minimum of 10 years of relevant UAE experience is required, along with a proven track record in managing construction fleets and equipment. Strong hands-on knowledge of GPS, telematics, fuel monitoring, and maintenance systems is essential, as is a solid understanding of UAE transport laws and compliance obligations.
