Role overview
This opportunity is for candidates who want to begin a finance career in the fast-moving e-commerce sector. The position is designed for CA students who have cleared IPCC/Intermediate on the first attempt or are rank holders, and who still have 18 months of articleship remaining. As a trainee with Amazon India, the selected candidate will work across multiple teams and support finance leaders with analysis that helps drive business decisions.
The role may involve partnering with stakeholders across several business areas such as the e-commerce marketplace, media and advertising, fintech, and logistics. Functional exposure can include internal audit, business finance, accounting, financial planning, and related finance activities.
About the team
The team works with business stakeholders to move shipments from the shipper location to the customer in the most cost-efficient way possible.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of finance experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or accounts payable.
- At least 2 years of experience using key financial performance indicators in analysis.
- Working knowledge of common tools such as Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL, and VBA.
- Ability to use data to shape business decisions.
- Background in corporate finance, including budgeting, planning, forecasting, and reporting.
- For preferred consideration, experience with continuous improvement work that scaled team controllership with measurable outcomes.
- Additional preferred exposure to TM1, data warehouse systems, and SQL.
