Role overview
This position sits within Google’s Global Business Organization and focuses on driving adoption of education-focused products and services. The role blends territory ownership, partner enablement, stakeholder engagement, and go-to-market execution to support growth across assigned accounts.
You will work to expand awareness of Gemini, Chromebook, and Workspace for Education among key decision-makers, while helping customers and partners translate business needs into practical solutions. The role also involves coordinating inbound demand, supporting reseller activity, and contributing feedback from the field to shape future product direction.
Location
When applying, you can select one preferred work location from Bengaluru, Gurugram, or Mumbai, India. The role is based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
Minimum qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent level of practical experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in technology sales or in a customer-facing sales role.
- Proven experience presenting to and building relationships with different stakeholders in academic institutions or enterprise environments.
Preferred qualifications
- Exposure to artificial intelligence, machine learning, or similar transformational technologies.
- Background in helping customers adopt technology and manage organizational change.
- Experience creating and executing go-to-market plans while consistently delivering on targets.
- Working knowledge of the higher education landscape, including its decision-making structure and key challenges.
- Strong analytical, discussion, and communication abilities, with the confidence to work effectively across internal and external teams.
What the role involves
In this role, you will lead sales-driven activities designed to increase understanding of the value of Google’s education offerings. You will shape and own the territory plan, support the rollout of Google Workspace for Education and Google Classroom, and help build the partner ecosystem by identifying, onboarding, and regularly engaging new partners and OEMs.
You will also support resellers with guidance on communicating with Boards of Education, ensure business plans are delivered, and manage the pipeline for priority resellers. In addition, you will handle inbound leads from multiple sources, coordinate lead redistribution so opportunities remain active, and own the go-to-market approach for the territory, including customer engagements.
Responsibilities
- Design and run the go-to-market plan for education within a defined market, and take ownership of adoption goals across assigned accounts, including training-led initiatives that demonstrate measurable value.
- Build direct relationships with important stakeholders in key accounts across your territory.
- Map and engage sector influencers who can help accelerate adoption of Google for Education services.
- Collect customer insights and share them internally to help guide the future direction of Gemini in Education.
- Work closely with other Google teams, such as Cloud and Marketing, to maintain a unified strategy for supporting universities.
