Facility Coordinator – Operations

Role overview

This position is for a seasoned Facilities Management professional to support operations in a school setting in Qatar. The role focuses on keeping both hard and soft FM services running smoothly, maintaining compliance, supporting client satisfaction, and managing service partners effectively.

What you will do

• Coordinate the day-to-day delivery of facilities services across hard and soft FM functions.
• Oversee maintenance, housekeeping, security, pest control, landscaping, and waste management activities.
• Plan and track preventive and corrective maintenance work to protect asset performance and service continuity.
• Ensure operations follow health, safety, and quality requirements at all times.
• Monitor contractors and vendors to make sure service levels, timelines, and standards are met.
• Handle client coordination, support service reviews, and help maintain strong working relationships.
• Assist with budgeting, expenditure control, and contract administration.
• Prepare operational updates, performance reports, and maintenance records.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate brings solid facilities management experience, technical understanding of building systems, and the ability to manage multiple service streams in an educational environment. Prior exposure to school facilities or similar settings will be considered an advantage.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in Facilities Management, with a minimum of 3 years gained in the GCC.
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• Practical knowledge of HVAC, MEP, electrical systems, building maintenance, and asset management.
• Hands-on experience across hard and soft FM services.
• Background in client relationship management, contractor oversight, budgeting, cost control, and contract handling.
• Ability to manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs while meeting compliance standards.
• Experience in producing operational reports, service reviews, and maintenance documentation.
• Previous work in schools or comparable environments is preferred.
• Valid Qatar driving license is mandatory.
• Professional qualifications such as IFMA, RICS, IWFM/BIFM, IMechE, IET, CIBSE, ICE, or equivalent are preferred.
