Excel Expert - Remote

Role Overview

We are looking for an Excel specialist who can support the training of next-generation AI systems through high-quality, real-world examples and domain expertise. This position focuses on applying advanced Excel knowledge to business operations, strategy, and data analysis problems. Prior AI experience is not necessary; strong practical Excel expertise is the key requirement.

What You Will Do

• Examine complex Excel workbooks tied to business operations, strategic planning, and analytical workflows, then improve them where needed.
• Share practical feedback, examples, and proven Excel methods suited to operational and consulting scenarios, excluding finance-related use cases.
• Build, document, and hand over templates or solutions that demonstrate expert-level Excel practices for AI training.
• Work with the client team to map important workflows and the operational challenges reflected in spreadsheet documents.
• Assess and model realistic business situations using advanced formulas and Excel functionality.
• Prepare precise documentation and communicate ideas clearly in both written and spoken form.
• Help develop data-analysis case studies and operational scenarios based on Excel expertise.

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong command of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including formulas, pivot tables, data validation, and automation features.
• Hands-on experience creating Excel solutions for business operations, strategy, or consulting work.
• Good analytical thinking and the ability to solve complex business problems using spreadsheets.
• Clear communication skills with strong attention to accuracy and detail.
• Ability to document workflows, prepare learning materials, and give actionable feedback.
• Experience with data analysis, scenario modelling, and improving processes through Excel.
• Comfort working independently in a remote environment with a proactive mindset.

Preferred Background

A background in business operations, strategy, or management consulting is an advantage. Familiarity with AI training or contributing domain knowledge to machine-learning datasets is also helpful. Experience building Excel-based tools or dashboards for operational improvement initiatives is a plus.

Additional Information

This is a remote contract role based in Germany. The work is focused on non-financial business use cases and on supporting AI model training through expert spreadsheet input.
