Estimator - Flat Roofing

This opportunity is for an Estimator specialising in flat roofing, working on industrial and commercial roofing assignments. The role is office based and the location is Bedfordshire, with the position linked to Milton Keynes, England, United Kingdom.

Role Details

You will be responsible for producing accurate pricing and cost plans for flat roofing and related construction work. The job involves detailed take-offs, reviewing subcontractor and supplier pricing, and supporting the wider contracts team on secured projects.

Key Duties

• Assess industrial and commercial roofing projects and build reliable estimates.
• Carry out quantity take-offs to support project evaluation.
• Prepare costings and pricing for flat roofing and broader construction works.
• Collect, compare, and analyse quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Take part in contract review meetings with the Contracts Department for awarded work.
• Handle several deadlines at once while keeping work accurate, orderly, and high quality.

Requirements

The employer is looking for someone who has already worked as an estimator in the roofing sector, ideally with flat roofing exposure. Strong written and verbal communication is important, along with good IT skills and a proactive, team-focused attitude.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary offered is between £35,000 and £38,000, with bonus potential. A comprehensive benefits package is also included.
