Role Overview

This position supports day-to-day production hygiene, equipment cleanliness, stock control, and delivery handling within an industrial site in Brakpan, Gauteng. The role focuses on maintaining sanitation standards, monitoring equipment condition, and helping the team keep operations running safely and efficiently.

Key Duties

• Carry out steaming and check sampling points to confirm that process requirements are being met.
• Sanitise and maintain critical fittings and equipment, including yeast room fittings, GPA equipment, Bright Beer Tanks (BBTs), ACFs, and related accessories.
• Complete routine stock counts and inventory verification.
• Manage incoming deliveries and receive chemical consignments from Diversey.
• Perform OWDs whenever they are needed.
• Participate in Level 1 meetings and share operational status updates.
• Use a forklift where necessary, provided the operator is trained and certified.
• Keep bulk storage areas, CIP stations, and surrounding workspaces clean and orderly.
• Check pumps, tanks, pipework, and connected systems for leaks, damage, or other faults.
• Carry out descaling and intensive cleaning tasks as required.
• Move chemicals from bulk storage into day tanks when needed.
• Confirm that all CIP fittings are stored properly and safely.
• Replace sterilant solutions every day to maintain hygiene and production standards.
• Watch equipment condition closely and escalate maintenance or safety issues without delay.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation requirements at all times.

Skills and Requirements

• Excellent attention to detail and a disciplined approach to hygiene procedures.
• Solid organising ability with strong stock and inventory control skills.
• Capability to detect equipment problems and report them appropriately.
• Comfortable working in a production or industrial environment.
• Forklift certification is an advantage where relevant.
• Knowledge of chemical handling practices and workplace safety rules.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work well with operational teams.

Additional Information

This is a full-time onsite role based in Brakpan, Gauteng, South Africa. The position involves industrial housekeeping, sanitation, stock handling, delivery coordination, and equipment monitoring. Forklift use is only expected if the candidate is trained and certified.
