Electrical Technician

Role Overview

The Electrical Technician will support the upkeep of electrical systems and equipment across group facilities, with a focus on installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance. The role requires hands-on execution of maintenance work in line with TPM practices to help maintain equipment reliability and smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical maintenance and repair work while strictly following company rules, safety procedures, and all relevant regulations.
• Work in accordance with local and national electrical standards, along with site-specific workplace safety requirements.
• Complete maintenance assignments as directed by the Maintenance Associate or Supervisor.
• Apply TPM-based maintenance methods to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime.
• Perform scheduled inspections and condition-based or predictive checks to spot early signs of failure and avoid unexpected stoppages.
• Identify faults in electrical control circuits using suitable testing techniques and tools, then apply corrective actions to restore proper function.
• Install, service, and repair wiring, panels, electrical systems, and related components using approved safe work practices.
• Read schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and other technical drawings to support accurate diagnosis and repair.
• Assist with the installation of new equipment and approved electrical changes, including cable pulling, glanding, termination, and panel wiring.
• Support PLC and automation tasks when assigned, including help with motor control systems and related devices.
• Keep maintenance logs, records, and reports accurate and up to date.

Qualifications

• A diploma or degree in Electrical Technology or a closely related discipline is required.
• Candidates should bring at least 3 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance or a similar hands-on role.
