Role overview
Intermountain Rigging Holdings is looking for professional drivers, including owner-operators and leasers, to work from Salt Lake City, Utah. Candidates may use the company’s trailers or their own equipment. The business supports heavy transportation, rigging, machinery moving, millwright services, logistics, warehousing, trans-loading, packaging, and asset recovery, and is seeking people who can help move equipment safely and on schedule while supporting customer deadlines.
What the role involves
- Work with the transport team to move customer equipment and machinery in a safe, secure, and timely manner.
- Help ensure deliveries and haulage are completed in line with customer timelines.
- Operate within an irregular-route network, with most routes running through the Midwest and Southwest.
Equipment and operator criteria
- Equipment used for the role must be well maintained and able to pass DOT inspections.
- The equipment owner is responsible for licensing.
- Bobtail insurance is the equipment owner’s responsibility, though it can be arranged through IRH.
- For Utah-based operators, occupational hazard insurance is also the owner’s responsibility and may be obtained through IRH.
- Applicants should have at least 1 year of flatbed driving experience; tarping experience is preferred.
- Drivers must be 22 years of age or older for insurability and have at least 2 years of Class A CDL experience.
- A clean driving record is required.
- Drivers must keep ELD logs up to date.
- Pre-trip and post-trip inspections must be performed by the driver.
- Applicants must be able to pass the initial drug test and any random DOT/FMCSA screenings.
