Driver

Role overview

The Driver will be responsible for operating Advans Ghana Savings and Loans vehicles and making sure the assigned cars remain in proper working condition.

Key duties

• Operate company vehicles in line with management guidelines and policies.
• Record every journey accurately in the vehicle logbook.
• Carry out routine vehicle inspections, including brakes, wiring, cables, and tire condition.
• Keep the vehicles clean and presentable.
• Coordinate regular servicing with suppliers so that filters and other basic components are checked and replaced on time, and that engine oil and other fluids such as brake fluid, coolant, and water meet manufacturer standards.
• Report any actual or possible vehicle issue to the supervisor without delay.
• Ensure that all vehicle documents, including insurance and road license, remain valid and up to date.
• Monitor fuel levels in advance and refuel the vehicle before the tank becomes empty.

Qualification and experience

Applicants should have at least a Senior High School Certificate or a Diploma, along with a minimum of one year of driving experience.

Training and skill focus

Preferred training includes defensive driving and fleet maintenance/management.
