Dispatch Coordinator

Role overview

KEDA Ceramics is looking for a careful and well-organized Dispatch Coordinator to manage the issue and movement of tile adhesive materials across warehouse and dispatch functions in Kajiado County, Kenya. The role involves close day-to-day coordination with warehouse staff, production teams, forklift operators, loaders, and truck drivers to keep loading activities accurate, timely, and aligned with inventory and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the Team Leader to receive the daily truck allocation plan and dispatch schedule.
• Partner with godown clerks, loaders, and forklift operators to ensure trucks are loaded within the required timelines.
• Check that the right quantity and quality of material is loaded onto each vehicle.
• Track SAP codes, color codes, truck numbers, delivery notes, and waybills to maintain consistency and accuracy.
• Guide and coordinate truck drivers, loaders, and forklift operators so loading proceeds smoothly.
• Obtain final verification and approval from the Assistant Manager for materials loaded onto trucks.
• Maintain strong coordination with the Production (Grading) Department so materials are moved to the receiving area on time across all shifts.
• Inspect SAP codes, color codes, quantities, and material quality before dispatch and quickly resolve any mismatch with the Manager – Grading Department.
• Work with godown clerks to ensure materials are moved from the receiving area into the warehouse without delay.
• Keep warehouse and dispatch records accurate and consistent with company procedures.
• Follow company safety rules, operational procedures, and inventory control requirements.
• Carry out any other duties assigned by leadership or management.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Warehouse Management, or a related discipline.
• At least 1 year of experience in warehouse operations, dispatch, inventory handling, or a similar position.
• Experience with warehouse management systems and SAP operations will be an added advantage.
• Solid understanding of inventory control and dispatch processes.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Working conditions

This role is based in a warehouse and factory setting. Shift work, weekend duties, or overtime may be required depending on operational needs. The work also involves exposure to warehouse processes, loading operations, and industrial equipment.
