Role overview

The Design Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating project design documentation from the early concept stage through to delivery. The role helps keep projects running smoothly by supporting communication between teams, maintaining design records, and contributing to effective project delivery with a strong customer-focused approach.

Key duties

• Compile project start-up documentation and support design managers and engineering teams with the production of technical drawings for construction work.
• Monitor design progress and check that deliverables align with project timelines and requirements.
• Take part in concept design activities, early approval processes, and the upkeep of design records.
• Help maintain design workflows and standards, including the onboarding of consultants and contractors.
• Contribute to safe working practices, organised project documentation, and clear communication with project stakeholders.

Candidate profile

This role is well suited to someone with a background in architectural design, engineering design, or construction project coordination. The ideal person is organised, meticulous, and comfortable handling documentation, prioritising multiple tasks, and working with internal teams, subject matter experts, and external service providers. The role also calls for someone who can recognise risks and suggest practical, creative solutions.

Essential requirement

Applicants must be Australian citizens and must be able to obtain and keep an NV1 Security Clearance.
