About CDC

CDC Data Centres, founded in 2007, is a leading provider of secure, world-class data centre facilities across Australia and New Zealand. Its network of campuses supports co-location, dedicated, and hyperscale compute environments, all linked through high-speed carrier-grade connectivity. The organisation places strong importance on security, reliability, connectivity, sustainability, and an inclusive workplace culture that values diverse perspectives.

Role overview

The Design Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating project design documentation from the early concept stage through to delivery. The role helps keep projects running smoothly by supporting communication between teams, maintaining design records, and contributing to effective project delivery with a strong customer-focused approach.

Key duties

  • Compile project start-up documentation and support design managers and engineering teams with the production of technical drawings for construction work.
  • Monitor design progress and check that deliverables align with project timelines and requirements.
  • Take part in concept design activities, early approval processes, and the upkeep of design records.
  • Help maintain design workflows and standards, including the onboarding of consultants and contractors.
  • Contribute to safe working practices, organised project documentation, and clear communication with project stakeholders.

What CDC offers

  • Access to CDC Academy for ongoing learning and professional development through specialised training.
  • An extra paid day off known as CDC Day, focused on health and wellbeing.
  • Enhanced parental leave arrangements beyond legislative minimums.
  • Two days of volunteer leave to support a cause or charity of your choice.
  • Employee Assistance Program support for employees and their families.
  • Social events for staff and families, including BBQs, family picnics, and community activities.

Candidate profile

This role is well suited to someone with a background in architectural design, engineering design, or construction project coordination. The ideal person is organised, meticulous, and comfortable handling documentation, prioritising multiple tasks, and working with internal teams, subject matter experts, and external service providers. The role also calls for someone who can recognise risks and suggest practical, creative solutions.

Essential requirement

Applicants must be Australian citizens and must be able to obtain and keep an NV1 Security Clearance.

Application note

Interested candidates should submit a resume and cover letter.

Diversity and inclusion

CDC is committed to creating a workplace where people are respected, included, and able to contribute authentically. The company values diversity of background, perspective, and experience as a driver of innovation and success.
