Role overview
This full-time deli role in Nenagh, County Tipperary focuses on preparing fresh hot and cold deli items to a consistently high standard while keeping customer satisfaction at the centre of every shift.
What you will do
- Prepare hot and cold food items for customers across the fresh food area, including sandwiches, rolls, hot food portions, and sliced meats while following the store’s portion-control guidelines.
- Cook, arrange, and replenish food throughout the day so the deli counter remains appealing and well stocked.
- Maintain excellent presentation standards across all fresh food counters during trading hours.
- Handle customer questions and requests promptly, professionally, and in line with store procedures.
- Show enthusiasm for food by offering product knowledge, recipe ideas, and personal recommendations to shoppers.
- Work in a way that reflects the brand values of being proud, energetic, imaginative, and community-focused.
Candidate profile
- HACCP training is welcome but not essential.
- Strong verbal communication skills are needed.
- Experience in customer service is beneficial.
- You should be comfortable working as part of a team in a busy, fast-moving environment and able to manage several tasks at once under pressure.
- A genuine interest in food and the ability to encourage and inspire customers is important.
