Job Summary

Waynesboro Area School District is seeking a dedicated Day Custodian for the Waynesboro Area Middle School. This full-time, year-round position offers competitive pay and benefits, with a schedule that adjusts between the school year and summer months. The role involves maintaining the cleanliness and operational readiness of the school building, including groundskeeping and snow removal.

Responsibilities

• Execute general cleaning tasks across the entire school facility.
• Operate and maintain building mechanical and equipment systems.
• Manage grounds maintenance equipment and operate a tractor for snow removal operations.
• Handle the loading and unloading of deliveries, ensuring proper storage of materials.
• Provide assistance with crossing guard duties and other assigned tasks as needed.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3-5 years of custodial or related experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating grounds maintenance equipment and snow removal machinery.
• Knowledge of general mechanical and equipment systems operations.
• Ability to manage material handling, including loading, unloading, and storage.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
• Successful completion of required background clearances is mandatory.
