This role is based with Valentino Middle East in Dubai, UAE. Positioned at the crossroads of luxury and fashion, the Finance function is central to business decisions ranging from retail performance to day-to-day operational oversight. The team is seeking an inquisitive, meticulous, and driven intern for a 12-month assignment to support its data-led work.

Role Summary

As part of the Finance team, you will help turn financial and retail data into practical insights. Your work will involve reporting, performance analysis, process improvement, and close collaboration with Finance colleagues across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and update dashboards and reports that monitor retail KPIs such as sales, sell-through, average transaction value, and stock movement across GCC boutiques.
• Help prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports by gathering, combining, and examining data from systems such as ERP, POS, and Excel files.
• Support database handling during month-end close, including sales reconciliation, commission tracking, marketing and communication expense review, and fixed cost monitoring.
• Assist with financial planning tasks, including the preparation of budget and forecast scenarios.
• Contribute to streamlining repetitive reporting tasks through automation using Power BI or similar tools.
• Provide support for ad hoc analyses for accounting, logistics, and retail teams to aid decision-making on topics such as new store openings, budget reviews, and investment proposals.
• Work with Finance, Retail, and Operations teams to strengthen data accuracy and consistency.

Profile and Eligibility

This opportunity is for candidates who are currently enrolled in a Master’s program (Bac+4/5) in Finance, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a closely related subject at a reputed business school or engineering school.

Applicants should be comfortable working independently in a fast-moving, multicultural setting and should have a strong interest in luxury retail and its commercial environment.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong analytical thinking with careful attention to detail and a focus on results.
• Advanced Excel skills, with preference for candidates who also know Power BI, Python, or SQL.
• Interest in the luxury retail sector and its business dynamics.
• Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic, international environment.
• Fluent English; Italian or Arabic would be an added advantage.
