Role Summary
The Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for helping protect digital banking platforms and sensitive member information from cyber risks. This role involves continuous monitoring and assessment of security activity across both on-premises and cloud systems, finding vulnerabilities, and putting risk-reduction measures in place to improve the overall security environment. The analyst also helps maintain PCI-related protections, supports compliance efforts, responds to incidents, and resolves security-related support requests. A strong foundation in cybersecurity and a commitment to ongoing learning, including awareness of AI-related security developments and emerging threats, is important for success.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a variety of assigned work, including documentation, request processing, training support for new hires and employee awareness, and other special projects.
- Help build, maintain, and improve security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
- Support security testing activities by documenting results, tracking remediation, and helping with follow-up actions.
- Research new risks, vulnerabilities, threat trends, tools, and solution approaches to inform governance, policy, architecture, and assessments.
- Assist with incident response and enterprise-wide security monitoring, including investigation, follow-up, and root-cause analysis of alerts from internal tools, vendors, and industry sources.
- Support user access reviews and other identity and access management monitoring tasks.
- Partner with IT control owners to prepare documentation and monitor IT general controls.
- Coordinate with third-party managed security service providers to support ongoing testing and monitoring.
- Review threat intelligence and recommend improvements to strengthen the organization’s security posture.
- Work with internal and external auditors during reviews and help address audit findings and recommendations.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree is required.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience is required.
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Defender, and Office 365 security controls.
- Understanding of applicable legal and regulatory obligations, including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, member information safeguarding guidance, and PCI/Data Security Standard requirements.
- Familiarity with industry frameworks such as NIST and ISO.
- Ability to assess IT controls, including PCI DSS and security/privacy policies and standards.
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity risks and the tools and methods used to address them.
- Strong analytical ability to interpret requirements and translate them into appropriate security controls.
- Experience with vulnerability testing and the ability to design and maintain continuous testing and monitoring programs.
- Understanding of IT operational infrastructure, including business continuity.
- Comfort working with confidential information, large volumes of detail, and independent task management.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across all levels and business areas.
- Knowledge of security monitoring tools for event management, vulnerability assessment, intrusion detection, and cloud environments.

Compensation and Benefits
The hiring range for this role is $85,050 to $89,775 per year. Final base pay may differ depending on internal equity, geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may also qualify for additional compensation, such as a bonus or long-term incentive units. Most roles at Partners are eligible for an Annual Incentive Plan, which rewards individual contribution and shared success, though it is not guaranteed.
