Role Overview

GoodVets is a fast-growing network of forward-thinking animal hospitals, focused on building new hospitals from the ground up and combining excellent clinical care with strong operational results. The Clinical Recruiter will report to the VP of Recruiting and play an important role in strengthening talent pipelines while representing the GoodVets brand. This is a high-volume recruiting role designed to help attract, assess, and retain top clinical talent as the organization continues to scale.

This opportunity begins as a temporary contract with a likely path to a permanent full-time role, depending on performance and business requirements. The expected contract length is 3 to 6 months. The position is based in Downtown Chicago and requires working from the office four days per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and Veterinary Receptionists through job boards, social media, professional networks, and referrals.
  • Screen applicants thoroughly to evaluate qualifications, experience, capabilities, and alignment with the hospital culture.
  • Arrange interviews between candidates and hospital hiring managers and keep the process moving smoothly.
  • Build and maintain strong candidate relationships by sharing updates and responding quickly to questions or concerns.
  • Monitor hiring trends, competitor approaches, market changes, and new recruiting methods to stay current.
  • Support offer discussions between candidates and hiring managers, and work with HR and legal partners to ensure offers meet policy and market standards.
  • Keep candidate information accurate and current in applicant tracking systems, and track recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, source of hire, and conversion rates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required, and 2 to 3 years of relevant recruiting experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of recruitment workflows, sourcing methods, candidate engagement, and hiring metrics.
  • Strong communication and listening skills, with the ability to connect effectively across different stakeholders.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving ability, including using data to identify patterns and recommend next steps.
