Role overview

This position involves delivering Intellect Care, a counselling and psychotherapy service designed to help people work through personal, social, and psychological challenges. Counselling focuses on giving clients practical tools and techniques to support mental well-being, while psychotherapy helps identify unhelpful thinking and behaviour patterns that may affect daily life and relationships. This work typically involves sessions of up to 50 minutes.

Key duties

• Deliver in-person mental health counselling to employees of local clients in Saudi Arabia.
• Attend the client’s workplace for assigned morning, evening, or overnight shifts, depending on the client’s needs.
• Work on rotating shift schedules when required, with advance notice of at least 30 days for any changes.
• Conduct one-to-one sessions covering topics such as resilience, stress management, and available well-being resources.
• Run group sessions focused on coping strategies for stress and difficult information.
• Lead peer support sessions that encourage shared experiences and conversations about well-being.
• Create and facilitate workshops and group programs that build mental health awareness and resilience.
• Submit a monthly report covering utilisation and participation.
• Work closely with the internal clinical team to suggest ways to improve the program and platform.
• Join a one-hour check-in once a month with the internal team during regular working hours in Singapore Time.

Working arrangement and other conditions

This is an in-person role requiring availability for five days per week. Candidates must be comfortable with evening coverage between 9 PM and 6 AM, although the exact slot will be approved by the client. The assignment is offered as a contract role with a planned term of two years. Supervision is expected once every two months.

Education, experience, and licensing

A master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or Counselling is required. Applicants should have at least three years of clinical experience beyond the work completed as part of a master’s program, along with a minimum of 500 supervised clinical hours outside the degree. A valid clinical licence is required, or the candidate must be eligible for licensure in the country where they practise.

Therapeutic approach expected

The role requires experience with trauma-informed therapeutic methods. Relevant approaches include Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) for trauma survivors, and Somatic Experiencing (SE).
