Role overview
This permanent part-time cleaning position is based at Scottish Water, Culhorn Depot in Wigtown, Dumfries and Galloway. The pay rate is £13.45 per hour, and the role is scheduled for 2 hours per week.
What the role involves
You will keep cleaning equipment in a clean, well-maintained and safe condition while ensuring service standards and agreed SLAs are met. The position requires you to understand the designated cleaning area, the timing of tasks, and the cleaning products and equipment used on site, all while following health and safety requirements. You will also complete any training needed to carry out the job successfully.
The job calls for someone who can work as part of a team as well as independently. You will build positive working relationships with customers, provide strong service, and look for ways to improve results and exceed expectations.
Skills and personal qualities
To do well in this role, you should be able to read and communicate in basic English. Previous cleaning experience is helpful but not mandatory. A flexible approach is important, along with honesty, self-motivation, determination, reliability, hard work, and a professional attitude.
