Role Overview
Larsen & Toubro is hiring a Civil QAQC Engineer for its Qatar operations. The role is centered on quality assurance and quality control for civil works, with strong involvement across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
Qualifications and Background
- A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required.
- Candidates should have prior exposure to building projects with QatarEnergy.
- Earlier QatarEnergy approval as a QA/QC Engineer is preferred.
- A certified Lead ISO 9001 Auditor qualification from IRCA is required, and any other quality-focused professional certifications will be considered an added advantage.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is required, ideally in oil and gas, petrochemical, or infrastructure projects within the same functional area.
- At least 2 years of management experience is needed in setting up, running, and maintaining a quality management system aligned with the relevant international standard.
- At least 3 years of direct experience in construction inspection and execution is required.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills are essential.
Core Duties
- Carry out QA/QC responsibilities across the full project lifecycle, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Prepare dossier and systemization documentation in line with QatarEnergy standards and requirements.
- Develop and examine quality-related documents such as ITPs, MSTs, and MARs.
- Perform first-party and second-party audits and manage NCRs effectively.
- Attend quality meetings, prepare KPI updates, and compile monthly reports.
- Lead, coordinate, and motivate project and contractor QA/QC teams.
- Support site inspections, material inspections, and related QA/QC activities.
Technical Knowledge
- Working knowledge of QCS 2014/2024 is expected.
- Familiarity with Shell DEP requirements and QPAD guidelines is necessary.
- Understanding of site inspection, material inspection, and general construction quality practices is required.

This position is for a full-time, on-site role based in Qatar. The job focuses on quality system leadership, construction inspection oversight, documentation control, and compliance with client-specific standards.
