Role Overview
A growing, values-led insurer is hiring a Casualty Claims Handler to strengthen its claims team in Dublin. This is a strong opportunity for someone with practical claims-handling experience who wants to build their career in a collaborative and supportive setting.
You will look after a portfolio of liability claims and work closely with an experienced team, reporting into a respected Head of Claims. The role has been created because of ongoing business expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of casualty claims from the first notice through to final settlement.
- Carry out detailed investigations to reach accurate assessments and resolve matters promptly.
- Work with brokers, policyholders, loss adjusters, and other stakeholders as required.
- Handle claims in accordance with internal processes, regulatory obligations, and agreed service levels.
- Keep claims files, records, and supporting documentation complete and up to date.
- Assist the broader claims function and contribute to process and service improvements.
- Provide excellent customer support while ensuring outcomes remain fair and well balanced.
Experience and Qualifications
- You should have at least 2 years of experience handling liability or casualty claims.
- Experience managing your own caseload and organising priorities effectively is important.
- Strong communication skills and confidence in managing relationships with multiple stakeholders are required.
- APA (Commercial) is the minimum qualification needed.
- CIP is preferred, though the employer is open to supporting someone who is working toward it.
