Overview
Gammel Engineering GmbH is hiring in Abensberg, Bavaria for a full-time CAD Designer / Design Engineer role focused on supporting the energy transition through forward-looking technical planning. The company describes itself as a family-run business working on innovative projects and sustainable energy concepts.
This position involves developing technical solutions with integrated planning software across all project stages. The work is vendor-neutral and technology-agnostic, with a strong emphasis on translating client needs into practical, sustainable designs.
Role details
The position is based in Abensberg and follows a 40-hour workweek from Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Draft HVAC layouts and technical drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and MicroStation.
- Work closely with customers and planning partners from different disciplines to align project requirements.
- Assist with project planning as well as construction and site supervision activities.
- Contribute to the development and execution of sustainable energy solutions.
Requirements
- Completed vocational training as a Technical System Planner with a focus on HVAC.
- For the Design Engineer position, an advanced technical qualification (Techniker) or a bachelor's degree is required, along with CAD proficiency.
- Practical knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit.
- Prior exposure to construction or plant engineering is an advantage.
- Careful, self-directed, and structured work style.
- Adaptability and a strong collaborative mindset.
- Very good written and spoken German language skills.
