CAD Designer / Design Engineer (m/f/d)

Overview

Gammel Engineering GmbH is hiring in Abensberg, Bavaria for a full-time CAD Designer / Design Engineer role focused on supporting the energy transition through forward-looking technical planning. This position involves developing technical solutions with integrated planning software across all project stages. The work is vendor-neutral and technology-agnostic, with a strong emphasis on translating client needs into practical, sustainable designs.

Role details

The position is based in Abensberg and follows a 40-hour workweek from Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Draft HVAC layouts and technical drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and MicroStation.
• Work closely with customers and planning partners from different disciplines to align project requirements.
• Assist with project planning as well as construction and site supervision activities.
• Contribute to the development and execution of sustainable energy solutions.

Requirements

• Completed vocational training as a Technical System Planner with a focus on HVAC.
• For the Design Engineer position, an advanced technical qualification (Techniker) or a bachelor's degree is required, along with CAD proficiency.
• Practical knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit.
• Prior exposure to construction or plant engineering is an advantage.
• Careful, self-directed, and structured work style.
• Adaptability and a strong collaborative mindset.
• Very good written and spoken German language skills.
