Job purpose
The Cabin Services Assistant is responsible for keeping the A380 Shower Spas spotless, organised and tailored for First Class guests, so every customer using this distinctive onboard feature has an excellent experience. The main focus of the role is maintaining Shower Spa hygiene and personalisation, while also supporting the cleanliness and presentation of First, Business and Economy Class lavatories, First and Business Class lounges, and shared cabin areas to help uphold the airline’s premium image.
This position is limited to cleaning assigned aircraft areas and does not replace the normal service responsibilities of Cabin Crew. The Cabin Services Assistant reports to the Purser, or to the SFS when the Purser is resting or otherwise unavailable.
What you will do
- Check that products are stocked in the right quantities so onboard facilities can be properly serviced, inflight top-ups can be completed, and guests have access to a suitable range of items.
- Inspect Shower Spas and lavatories before boarding, ensuring they are clean and equipped with the correct amenity items for customer use.
- Clean each Shower Spa quickly and hygienically after every use, following the CSA Checklist and using the correct cleaning materials to maintain required standards.
- Prepare each Shower Spa at the scheduled time from the reservation system, arranging selected products in the right way to create a personalised guest experience.
- Prevent any customer from entering a Shower Spa once it has been prepared for another guest, and alert the Purser if the reservation schedule starts falling behind so the system remains smooth and the facilities stay ready for First Class customers.
- Keep lavatories clean and orderly by following the CSA Checklist regularly and making sure all amenity items remain available.
- Maintain a neat, safe and visually appealing cabin by carrying out tidying duties in passenger cabins and social areas.
- Escalate defects to the Purser so they can be addressed promptly, and protect company property and the safety of colleagues and customers by immediately reporting discrepancies, unusual sounds or smells, abnormal passenger behaviour, or suspicious items to the nearest crew member for investigation.
- Arrive for duty punctually, comply with uniform standards, follow the chain of command on the ground and in flight, and carry out instructions given by the Purser.
Requirements
- Completion of 10 years of schooling, or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 2 years of customer service experience gained with an international hotel chain, airline, or similarly high-end service organisation.
- Previous work in hospitality housekeeping will be considered a strong advantage.
- Strong command of spoken and written English.
Benefits
You will be based in Dubai and offered an attractive tax-free salary, along with travel-related benefits that are unique to the industry. These include discounts on flights and hotel stays worldwide.
