Overview
RT Consulting is seeking a driven Business Analyst to join its team in a full-time, on-site role based in Australia. This position is suited to professionals at entry to mid-level who enjoy solving problems, improving processes, and converting business needs into practical, data-informed solutions. The role focuses on connecting stakeholders, product teams, and developers so that business goals are translated into effective technical delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, review, and record business requirements from stakeholders.
- Convert business objectives into clear functional and technical documentation.
- Work with cross-functional teams during planning, coordination, and implementation.
- Study existing workflows and identify ways to streamline or automate them.
- Create BRDs, functional specifications, user stories, and process maps.
- Analyze data and prepare reports that support decision-making.
- Take part in user acceptance testing and confirm solutions align with requirements.
- Track project status, highlight potential risks, and suggest workable fixes.
- Lead meetings, workshops, and discussions with internal stakeholders.
- Keep project records organized and ensure everyone stays aligned.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a similar discipline.
- Strong ability to think analytically and evaluate problems critically.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in managing stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with gathering and documenting business requirements.
- Exposure to business process modelling and workflow analysis.
- Good command of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and related productivity tools.
- Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or comparable reporting tools is helpful.
- Understanding of Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall delivery methods is preferred.
- Well-developed organizational skills and the ability to balance several priorities at once.
- Previous experience in a Business Analyst or similar role is preferred.
