Band 4 Administrator - Maple Leaf Centre

Role overview

An opportunity is available for an experienced full-time administrator to join the Solihull Community Perinatal Mental Health Team at Maple Leaf Centre in Birmingham. The service supports people with functional mental health difficulties, including depression and psychotic illness, through assessment, specialist input, treatment, and care planning. The team works as part of a multidisciplinary hub while operating from its own dedicated area with a separate entrance.

About the team

The Perinatal Mental Health Team works with a range of professionals across mental health and related services. The post sits within a busy clinical environment where strong communication, a welcoming manner, and reliable administrative support are important.

Key duties

The administrator will act as the first point of contact for patients, staff, and visitors. The role involves a broad mix of reception and office tasks, including managing appointments, handling calls, sorting incoming post, and processing clinical correspondence.

You will also provide day-to-day administrative support to the wider team and work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues and external professionals such as GPs, social workers, service users, and other agencies.

Skills and working style
