Role Overview
This opening is for a CAD Draftsman supporting work in the material handling and structural steel building sectors. The role focuses on creating assembly, general arrangement, foundation, detail, and erection drawings, with complete dimensions and views needed for engineering, fabrication, and construction.
Key Duties
- Create 3D CAD models and drawings using drafting software, as well as manual and automated measuring tools.
- Apply an understanding of shop fabrication methods to help shape practical design solutions.
- Carry out field measurements at job locations when needed.
- Produce drawings that clearly support design review, fabrication, and erection activities.
Experience and Education
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD is mandatory.
- Knowledge of Inventor and/or Tekla is an advantage.
- An associate degree from a two-year college or university is preferred but not compulsory.
- Relevant equivalent work experience may be accepted in place of formal education.
Additional Requirements
- Availability for overtime is necessary when business needs require it.
