About the role

We are looking for an Auditor to join SoftConstruct’s team in Yerevan. The position is suited to someone who can assess financial, operational, legal, and compliance matters, work with sensitive records, and contribute to strengthening internal controls and risk management.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out financial, operational, and compliance audits by reviewing accounting documentation, invoices, procedures, and other relevant materials.
  • Evaluate technical obligations set by regulators for the licensee or for products undergoing certification or testing.
  • Review legal and financial conditions required by the regulator for the licensee.
  • Maintain clear and complete records of audit work completed.
  • Inspect accounts, records, and activities of assigned business areas, especially those involving specialized audit topics, to confirm compliance with laws, regulations, gaming rules, internal policies, and procedures.
  • Assess how effective current systems are in areas such as finance, internal controls, legal and regulatory compliance, and fraud prevention.
  • Prepare audit results, communicate findings, and track corrective actions until issues are fully addressed.
  • Investigate suspected theft, fraud, and other irregularities through inquiries and fact-finding.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality of financial information and data.
  • Use data-mining approaches to spot suspicious or unusual transactions.
  • Suggest improvements that can make the internal audit function more effective.
  • Handle additional related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Background in economics, business, finance, law, or a related field.
  • Strong command of Armenian and English.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Comfort working across all levels of the organization while influencing, negotiating, and facilitating discussions.
  • Capacity to work with minimal supervision and guide other team members when needed.
  • Ability to review and synthesize information from multiple sources.
  • Readiness to perform effectively in a fast-moving, dynamic, entrepreneurial setting.
  • Understanding of internal audit standards and risk assessment methods.
  • Experience preparing high-level audit documentation, findings, and reports.
  • Exposure to theft and fraud detection, interviewing methods, and compliance work.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
