Role overview
This position places you on a major new West Apron Vehicle Underpass project at Dublin Airport. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial and surveying side of the project while working alongside construction managers, engineers, surveyors, and other stakeholders.
Your day-to-day work will involve carrying out assigned tasks, supporting team members, contributing original ideas, and helping keep the project moving in the right direction. The role combines office-based and on-site responsibilities, with an emphasis on research, analysis, reporting, coordination, and practical support.

Essential requirements
To be considered, you must have the legal right to work in the Republic of Ireland and be willing to complete a 5-year background screening as part of the hiring process. You should also hold a bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying or another relevant discipline.
The ideal candidate will be confident communicating with customers, clients, and stakeholders in both spoken and written form, and will bring strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best pricing. A structured, logical approach to problem-solving and strong analytical ability are important, along with good understanding of business processes and system improvement.
You should be eager to learn, attentive to detail, especially when working with numerical data, and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Strong time management, organisation, prioritisation, and problem-solving skills are essential. The role also requires comfort in dealing with people at different management levels and solid proficiency in MS Office tools, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
Desirable experience
Prior exposure through a student placement in engineering or construction is beneficial. Experience with engineering software and familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 are also advantageous.
