Role Overview
This position supports the Project Manager in overseeing designated portions of a construction project, following the reporting structure set out in the organisation chart. The role focuses on delivery, coordination, quality, compliance, cost control, and team supervision.
Key Duties
- Work under the Project Manager and take ownership of the project sections assigned to you.
- Build a detailed work programme and track progress to make sure assigned activities finish within the timelines set in the master schedule.
- Put ISO quality, EHS, green practices, and gracious working procedures into action and ensure they are followed.
- Deliver completed work to a standard that satisfies the client’s and consultant’s expectations.
- Make sure all statutory and authority requirements are met.
- Coordinate with consultants and owners on project matters, including technical issue resolution, shop drawing submissions, sample submissions, and related follow-ups.
- Ensure subcontractors complete their packages on schedule and in line with technical and contractual obligations.
- Monitor actual project costs closely so spending stays below budgeted levels.
- Supervise subordinates to ensure they follow work processes, remain productive, and work collaboratively as a team.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Structural Engineering is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in the construction industry is needed.
- Prior exposure to technical coordination and basement construction will be an advantage.
Additional Information
This is a full-time, onsite role based in Singapore.
