Role Overview
This position supports microbiological laboratory work through testing, analysis, reporting, and general lab assistance. The role suits someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working with standard laboratory methods, and eager to contribute to reliable scientific results.
Key Duties
- Carry out microbial tests and analytical work using established laboratory procedures.
- Assist with microbiology-based and molecular testing tasks whenever required.
- Follow quality control standards and make sure laboratory equipment is correctly calibrated.
- Complete calculations, review findings, and produce clear and accurate reports.
- Take on other tasks as needed to help keep laboratory operations running smoothly.
Requirements
- A background in Food, Microbiology, or Biotechnology is preferred.
- Applicants without tertiary qualifications may also be considered.
- Experience in a laboratory setting is helpful, though not essential.
- Ability to handle several tasks at once and work with minimal supervision.
- A collaborative approach and a constructive, positive attitude are important.
