Role Overview
Amazon is hiring Area Managers for its Fulfillment Centers. In this position, you will help keep operations running smoothly by balancing safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity across the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Study work forecasts and translate them into daily productivity needs so that building targets are met.
- Coordinate with fellow Area Managers to allocate labor effectively and maintain a balanced, efficient shift.
- Promote safety initiatives and ensure compliance with OSHA requirements to maintain a secure workplace for associates.
- Take the lead on process enhancement efforts and apply Lean methods to improve operations.
Work Schedule
The role follows a 5-day workweek. Since operations run seven days a week, the two weekly off days will change depending on shift structure and business requirements.
Basic Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification is required.
- At least 3 years of experience at Amazon as a blue badge/FTE employee is needed.
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing employees and their performance is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience of 3+ years working with performance metrics, process improvement, or Lean techniques is preferred.
