Application Support Engineer

Role overview

This position is for an experienced Power Platform professional to build and support business applications and automation solutions for enterprise users. The role is based in Bengaluru and follows a work-from-office model with generic TM shifts of 10:00–7:30, 11:00–8:30, or 12:00–9:30.

What the role involves

• Develop, configure, and launch business applications using Power Apps in both canvas and model-driven formats.
• Build process automation using Power Automate and cloud flows, including connections with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Dataverse, and external APIs.
• Work closely with business teams to understand needs, convert them into technical requirements, and deliver practical solutions.
• Design solutions that are reliable, easy to maintain, scalable, and aligned with governance and security expectations.
• Investigate, diagnose, and fix issues across Power Platform solutions.
• Prepare and update technical documents, end-user guides, and training content.
• Support and mentor junior developers while promoting team best practices.
• Participate in stakeholder discussions, share progress updates, manage expectations, and reflect feedback in the solution design.

Experience and capability requirements

• The role expects at least 3 years of experience overall.
• Hands-on exposure of 5 years or more with Power Platform tools is preferred for the ideal profile, especially Power Apps, Power Automate, and cloud flows.
• Strong working knowledge of Dataverse, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and Azure connectors is needed.
• Experience with custom connectors, PowerShell, and REST APIs will be an advantage.
• Ability to design solutions well, including data modeling and user interface/user experience considerations in Power Apps.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting ability, with the capacity to work independently as well as in a collaborative team.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
• Capability to handle several projects and priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Prior work in Agile or Scrum teams is preferred.
• Microsoft Power Platform certifications such as PL-400 or PL-600 are considered a plus.
