Agri Transport Planner

Role overview

Tirlán is seeking an Agri Transport Planner to join its Kilkenny/Portlaoise Mill operation in a hybrid working setup. Reporting to the Agri Transport Manager, this position is focused on building efficient transport schedules that meet supply chain planning needs for inter-site transfers and route-to-market delivery across the Island of Ireland.

What you'll do

• Coordinate with haulage partners to help ensure deliveries arrive on time and in full.
• Preserve strong working relationships while delivering a service that is both economical and operationally efficient.
• Handle invoicing tasks and respond to day-to-day ad hoc queries.
• Help resolve disagreements between parties in a fair and effective manner.
• Work alongside the logistics and planning function and other stakeholders to continuously improve collection, delivery and planning processes, costs and supporting systems.
• Track, review and report on key process metrics and KPI performance, using data analysis to support decisions across stakeholder groups.
• Spot opportunities for improvement and put changes in place to increase efficiency.
• Support the delivery of both business-as-usual and strategic projects.
• Ensure all administration and supporting documentation is completed accurately and to a high standard.

What we're looking for

• Background in supply chain, transport planning, or production planning.
• A third-level qualification in a relevant field such as supply chain, business, or agriculture.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Positive, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Strong problem-solving ability and comfort managing competing priorities.
• Working knowledge of IT tools and systems including SAP, Ortec, Millwheel, SAC, and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
