Hygena is an emerging hygiene brand designed for riders and the real conditions they face every day. Instead of focusing on conventional beauty or skincare use cases, the brand addresses practical hygiene challenges that come with long hours in riding gear, such as sweat inside helmets, dampness in jackets, and odour in boots. Its products are built to be simple, quick to use, and effective for riding gear.
The company’s first product is a rider-oriented deodorant made for helmets, jackets, gloves, and boots, with the goal of restoring freshness, comfort, and confidence to the riding experience. As an early-stage D2C business, Hygena moves quickly, tests ideas often, and builds content around genuine user needs. This role suits someone who likes a fast-moving environment and wants to help shape a new category from the ground up.
About the internship
This work-from-home internship is focused on organic growth and SEO. The selected intern will help plan and execute SEO initiatives, improve discoverability across the website and marketplace platforms, support content creation, and analyze performance data to uncover growth opportunities.
What you will do
- Build and run an SEO plan that supports Hygena’s business objectives.
- Research keywords and uncover ranking opportunities across the website and marketplace listings.
- Optimize website pages, blog posts, product pages, and marketplace content by improving titles, meta descriptions, headings, URL structure, image alt text, and internal links.
- Write original, research-based content for blogs, LinkedIn, Reddit, and Quora without using AI-generated copy.
- Strengthen Amazon and Flipkart listings using SEO best practices.
- Carry out basic technical SEO checks to spot crawl errors, indexing issues, broken links, duplicate pages, and Core Web Vitals concerns, and coordinate fixes with the development team.
- Recommend and implement schema markup and other on-page SEO enhancements where relevant.
- Review website performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Microsoft Clarity, then turn findings into practical improvement suggestions.
- Study competitors, identify content gaps, and develop topic clusters to grow organic visibility.
- Monitor keyword rankings, site performance, and SEO progress through regular reports with actionable takeaways.
Eligibility

Other requirements
- Good understanding of SEO fundamentals, search intent, and content marketing.
- Strong research, analytical, and writing ability.
- Capability to produce original, engaging, and well-researched content.
- Comfort with tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics (GA4), Microsoft Clarity, Google Keyword Planner, and Google Trends.
- Willingness to learn, experiment, and keep up with SEO changes and best practices.
- Interest in startups and D2C brands is an advantage.
- Since the brand is built for the biking community, familiarity with motorcycles, riding culture, or the automotive space will be helpful.

Internship details
