What the role involves

In this role, you will help with the everyday running of the Carrara Depot and associated sites. The work includes keeping work areas neat and safe, assisting with moving and maintaining vehicles and equipment, supporting basic gardening, and handling general maintenance support tasks. You will work with depot staff to keep facilities, fleet items, and storage areas secure, functional, and well presented.

Key duties

  • Keep depot areas across Carrara, CityLink, and other sites clean, safe, and organised.
  • Support the movement, upkeep, and general handling of Council fleet vehicles, plant, and equipment.
  • Help store and arrange materials and equipment in a safe and orderly way.
  • Complete basic gardening tasks and routine maintenance activities.
  • Spot and report safety issues, hazards, and security concerns.
  • Assist depot staff with operational support tasks as needed.
  • Take part in WHS inspections, hazard checks, and risk assessments.
