Job overview

The business is hiring an experienced Supervisor to support fabrication yard operations on offshore modules in Doha. This role is suited to someone with a solid fabrication background in oil and gas and the ability to drive safe, high-quality execution.
Responsibilities
- Offer technical direction and hands-on support to fabrication yard operations while ensuring alignment with applicable industry codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Manage discipline-related work, including method procedures, selection of equipment and consumables, and quality control practices.
- Create and roll out systems and procedures that improve efficiency and output without compromising safety or quality.
- Carry out routine inspections and audits to confirm welding work meets specification and to identify improvement opportunities.
- Coach, train, and mentor team members so they maintain strong welding practice, safety awareness, and quality discipline.
- Work with engineering, project management, and other functions to solve technical issues and keep delivery on track.
- Liaise with client representatives and outside stakeholders to respond to welding questions and provide sound technical advice.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field; relevant equivalent experience may also be accepted.
- Substantial fabrication experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly involving offshore modules.
- Good working knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes.
- Demonstrated success delivering projects with strong attention to safety, quality, and schedule commitments.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities for collaboration across teams and with external parties.
- Ability to assess complex welding challenges, develop practical solutions, and make well-informed decisions.
