Role Overview
The Vehicle Inspector will be responsible for examining vehicles, confirming that they meet applicable standards and regulatory requirements, and producing clear and accurate inspection documentation.
Key Duties
- Carry out inspections on passenger cars and light commercial vehicles according to approved procedures and local authority rules.
- Assess essential vehicle components such as brakes, steering, suspension, tires, lighting, chassis/body, engine, and emissions-related systems where relevant.
- Detect defects, safety concerns, and non-compliances, then document the results precisely in inspection reports or digital systems.
- Check vehicle identity and overall condition through visual and mechanical evaluation, and assist in making pass/fail determinations based on inspection standards.
- Follow quality, safety, and operational procedures while dealing with customers or vehicle owners in a professional manner.
Requirements
Applicants should have a diploma or technical qualification in Automotive Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, preferably.
Relevant experience of 2 to 5 years in vehicle inspection, automotive workshop operations, diagnostics, or roadworthiness testing is expected.
Candidates should understand vehicle systems, diagnostic tools, inspection reporting, and defect classification.
Prior exposure to UAE or local inspection authority processes is required.
A valid UAE driving license is necessary.
