Overview
HIGHLIGHT MOTOR FREIGHT INC is hiring a tractor-trailer driver based in Concord, Ontario. The role is fully on-site, meaning the work must be performed at the physical location with no remote option.
Language
English is required for this position.
Education
A secondary school graduation certificate is required.
Experience
Prior experience is considered an asset.
Work Setting
- You may be assigned to different locations.
- Applicants should be open to relocating.
- The employer covers relocation expenses.
Responsibilities
- Operate as part of a two-driver team or convoy when required.
- Drive lighter trucks built for specialized purposes.
- Operate straight trucks or articulated trucks to move goods and materials.
- Check vehicle condition and review tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and related equipment.
- Tarp cargo and ensure it remains secure and protected during transport.
Credentials
- Air Brake (Z) endorsement is required.
- A Class 1 or Class A driver’s licence is required.

Documentation knowledge
- Accident and incident reporting.
- Bill of lading handling.
- Driver logbook maintenance.
- Completion of pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspection reports.
- Maintenance and repair reporting.
- Cross-border paperwork.
- Trip report preparation.

- Use of an on-board trip recorder or computer system.
