Role overview
The Treasury Officer will handle the preparation of banking paperwork and related communication for all group entities, ensuring treasury and banking activities are completed accurately and on time in line with company policies and procedures. The position also supports the Head of Treasury with day-to-day banking coordination and completion of treasury matters.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out the role’s assigned duties and consistently meet expected deliverables.
- Work with customers, colleagues, and peers in a respectful, ethical, and collaborative way to help build a strong performance culture.
- Demonstrate the organization’s core values and strengthen the use of BCO Universal Competencies by leading through example.
- Follow all HR policies, company procedures, standard operating procedures, and service level agreements.
- Take overall responsibility for the performance of the Finance and Accounting department.
- Upload bank statements into SAP every day and coordinate with internal teams to verify collections.
- Clear collections against customer accounts and record loan-related transactions.
- Work with the Sales team and branches on point-of-sale matters, including issuing new SPOS, replacing SPOS, coordinating with the SFA team, and following up with banks on dropped transactions.
- Prepare cashier authorization documents required by branches.
- Coordinate with banks on cash deposit machine requirements for branches.
- Initiate online fund transfers and prepare bank statements for monthly reconciliations.
- Deliver bank documents when the bank messenger is unavailable.
- Assist the treasury team leads with banking activities and act as backup when needed.
- Perform any other treasury-related duties assigned by the line manager in the future.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in finance or treasury.
- Bachelor’s degree from a university in finance or accounting.
