Role overview
This position is for a retail Travel Agent to join the customer sales team at a new store in Westfield Chermside shopping centre, Queensland.
The role involves handling a busy flow of customers and being responsible for selling travel packages while helping each customer build a memorable trip experience.
Key duties
- Handle sales enquiries in person, over the phone, and through digital channels.
- Respond quickly and professionally to multiple customer queries at the same time.
- Deliver strong service by explaining services, packages, and pricing clearly.
- Suggest practical solutions that work for both the customer and the business.
- Present full upgrade options to members.
- Take ownership of customer sales enquiries and ensure timely follow-up each day.
- Show initiative when solving customer issues and supporting the team.
- Address complaints within the required timeframe or pass them to the right team so they are resolved properly.
Candidate profile
The company is seeking someone who is friendly, easy to approach, professional, and genuinely enjoys helping people plan an ideal luxury holiday.
A background in retail sales is expected, and travel industry experience will be viewed favourably.
The right person should be comfortable working toward KPIs, enjoy a competitive environment, adapt their availability as needed, communicate clearly in writing and verbally, pay close attention to detail, and be strongly focused on customer sales. A drive to achieve targets and a willingness to take on challenges are also important.
