Terminal Incharge - Associate Manager

Role overview

Adani Ports and SEZ is looking for an Associate Manager to take charge of terminal operations at the Mundra, Gujarat location. The role focuses on smooth passenger movement, operational readiness, safety, security, and coordination across multiple airport stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Run day-to-day terminal activities, covering passenger handling, terminal services, and facility operations.
• Maintain adherence to aviation rules, safety norms, and security protocols.
• Liaise with airlines, ground handling teams, security personnel, customs, immigration, and concessionaires to keep operations aligned.
• Track terminal efficiency, passenger movement, and crowd control, especially during busy periods and irregular disruptions.
• Look after upkeep, housekeeping, and overall readiness of terminal infrastructure and buildings.
• Activate emergency procedures and take control during incidents, operational interruptions, and crisis events.
• Handle terminal budgets, operating expenses, and allocation of resources.
• Keep customer service standards high and address passenger issues, complaints, and feedback.
• Lead, coach, and assess terminal operations employees and third-party contractors.
• Assist in introducing new systems, technologies, and process enhancements.

Safety and security focus

• Apply safety management systems and occupational health and safety practices across terminal operations.
• Coordinate security checks, audits, and terminal security activities.
• Ensure the team is ready for emergency situations such as fire, medical events, security threats, and evacuation scenarios.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Airport Management, Aviation, Engineering, Business Administration, or a similar discipline is required.
• Applicants should bring 8 to 12 years of experience in airport operations or terminal management.
• Working knowledge of airport compliance requirements, with DGCA, ICAO, and IATA standards preferred.
• Experience in managing large teams and coordinating with several stakeholders is important.
