Descrizione del lavoro

Role overview

Join a growing biotechnology business that develops real-time PCR kits as well as ATP and immunological detection systems used to improve food safety. The company combines strong technical expertise with a modern management style built around accountability, teamwork, and openness to change. In this role, you will help shape planning processes, improve operational performance, and make a tangible impact on products with real social value.

What this position is about

The Supply & Demand Planner EMEA is responsible for keeping regional and local product supply aligned with customer demand so that service targets are met reliably. The role uses ERP/CRM platforms and integrated planning tools to maintain availability, manage cost-to-serve, and turn complex data into accurate forecasts that support inventory health, growth, and operational performance. You will also work closely with analytics tools such as Power BI to uncover inefficiencies and drive improvements that raise customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the S&OP process across demand, operational, and financial planning, making sure local and regional forecasts are aligned with business targets and operational limits.
  • Own end-to-end supply chain planning cycles through ERP/CRM and integrated planning systems, including production and replenishment synchronization, inventory review, and transaction handling.
  • Use scenario planning and data analysis to improve financial and customer outcomes, including during special situations such as turnarounds, sales restrictions, and product or market transitions.
  • Create, review, and maintain demand forecasts using historical sales, sell-out trends, inventory data, and a mix of bottom-up and top-down inputs.
  • Track inventory and sell-out activity to keep stock at healthy levels.
  • Reduce forecast volatility while preventing shortages and excess stock.
  • Prepare and run S&OP meetings, including data preparation, scenario modeling, stakeholder alignment, and documentation of decisions.
  • Manage regional distribution networks and inventory levels, working with external logistics providers and warehouse/terminal partners across truck, rail, and ocean transport.
  • Measure, analyze, and communicate performance metrics with a focus on continuous improvement and cost optimization in S&OP, inventory control, risk management, distribution network design, and cost-to-serve.
  • Improve customer service indicators such as OTIF to strengthen delivery reliability and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive process automation, master data quality, system enhancements, and data flow improvements between ERP/CRM and planning tools.
  • Identify and reduce supply risks tied to long lead times, capacity limits, and supplier dependency.
  • Support root-cause analysis for missed deliveries and planning gaps.
  • Serve as a key connector between commercial teams, customer service, logistics, quality, and production.

What you bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Data Science; Six Sigma Green Belt is a strong advantage.
  • Several years of experience in supply chain planning, ideally in a regional or multi-site role within life sciences or manufacturing.
  • Solid working knowledge of ERP/CRM systems and hands-on experience with integrated planning solutions.
  • Good command of Power BI and the ability to communicate insights through data.
  • Fast learning ability and flexibility in adapting to change.
  • Strong organization skills to keep daily work and projects on schedule.
  • Problem-solving skills that support faster decisions and durable results.
  • Comfort working in a high-performance, fast-moving, results-focused environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration and influence across functions, levels, and multicultural settings.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with external 3PL/4PL providers.
  • Very good MS Office skills.
  • Fluent German and English, spoken and written; another European language is an advantage.

What’s offered

  • Room to shape decisions and contribute ideas directly without long approval chains.
  • Flat structures, short communication paths, and direct access to decision-makers.
  • Exposure to innovation, automation initiatives, and ongoing development in a growing market.
  • Flexible working hours and flextime options to support work-life balance.
  • Performance-based compensation and additional benefits, including a company pension scheme.
  • A location advantage near Berlin with reduced commuting time and a better quality of life.
