Role overview

Buster + Punch is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join its Peterborough city-centre team. The business is a London-born home fashion brand known for turning everyday home products into distinctive design-led pieces. Its product range spans electrical items such as switches, dimmers and sockets, lighting, hardware for doors and cabinets, and select legacy pieces including custom motorcycles and whisky bars. The company sells in more than 110 countries and values strong systems, financial stability, forward planning, and people who bring energy and results.

This position suits someone who thinks in systems, enjoys working with data, and can improve the way planning, suppliers, logistics, and internal tools work together. The role goes beyond routine execution and is focused on understanding processes, refining them, and driving ongoing improvement across the end-to-end supply chain.

Working pattern and package

  • Full-time role
  • Based in Peterborough city centre
  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Hybrid working available
  • Annual salary of £42,000 to £45,000, depending on experience
  • 25 days of holiday per year
  • Contribution toward gym membership
  • Discretionary annual bonus
  • Salary exchange pension contribution
  • Staff discount on company products

Key responsibilities

The successful candidate will support planning, purchasing, supplier coordination, stock control, and performance tracking across a fast-moving international supply chain.

  • Keep demand forecasts up to date, review exception reports, and investigate forecast variances so that trends and changes are addressed with suitable corrective action.
  • Work with teams across the business to factor in new product launches, discontinuations, promotions, campaigns, and other commercial events into forecasting and planning.
  • Support the Senior Supply Chain Management team with the monthly Open-To-Buy process.
  • Review and improve replenishment settings so ordering patterns across all product lines are as effective as possible.
  • Maintain accurate planning data in NetSuite and NetStock, while understanding how the systems and their integrations affect the wider supply chain.
  • Check and validate suggested scheduled purchase orders and ensure specialist customer requirements are met.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to confirm production and shipping timelines in line with lead times.
  • Partner with customer service and sales teams to align priorities and meet customer needs.
  • Manage relationships with overseas suppliers and the Buster + Punch China team to ensure pilot and purchase orders are completed and shipped in the correct sequence.
  • Assess lead times, replenishment cycles, and minimum order quantities to support lean supply chain practices.
  • Proactively address manufacturing issues such as capacity constraints, machine downtime, and resource changes.
  • Plan purchasing to make best use of sea freight as the preferred shipping route.
  • Keep ETD and ETA information accurate and aligned with agreed service levels.
  • Monitor stock levels to maintain strong customer availability and prevent high-volume products from going out of stock within model stock limits.
  • Manage excess and obsolete inventory and create disposal or exit plans where needed.
  • Track daily and weekly service-level KPIs, investigate dashboard exceptions, and resolve fulfilment issues.
  • Help build and produce weekly and monthly supply chain KPI packs.

What we are looking for

  • At least 2 years of supply management experience in a fast-paced, high-volume retail or manufacturing setting.
  • Previous involvement with product development teams and supply chain coordination for new product launches.
  • Experience working with a supplier base across the Far East, India, and Europe is preferred.
  • A degree is preferred, though it is not mandatory.
  • GCSE-level Maths and English are required.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as part of the role.
  • Applicants should be comfortable providing 2 references if successful.

Personal qualities and capabilities

  • Ability to influence, coordinate, and build strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Clear and confident written and verbal communication.
  • Strong organisation and sound, logical decision-making.
  • Capability to investigate root causes and solve problems effectively.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and precision.
  • Strong technical aptitude.
  • Composed, calm approach under pressure.
  • Willingness to work hard and put in extra effort when needed.
  • High standards of integrity.

Additional information

This role is focused on improving supply chain performance through data-led planning, cross-functional collaboration, and practical problem solving. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to process improvement and help maintain strong service levels across a global operation.
