Role Overview
A healthcare provider in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is looking for a Supply Chain Logistics Manager to lead and improve logistics activities across several facilities. The position focuses on keeping receiving, inventory control, and distribution running smoothly while strengthening operational performance and service quality.
What You Will Do
- Direct day-to-day logistics work across receiving, stock control, and distribution functions, maintaining reliable performance across multiple sites.
- Use operational data and on-the-ground findings to identify and roll out process improvements.
- Put controls in place and maintain them so that policies, procedures, and contract commitments are consistently followed.
- Supervise, mentor, and coordinate a multi-shift, multi-site team while building engagement and team alignment.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and team development efforts to support productivity and retention.
- Handle budget tracking, spending, and administrative tasks tied to logistics operations.
- Review supply chain metrics, inventory positions, and spending patterns to produce insights for leadership.
- Work with corporate teams to ensure local execution supports broader supply chain direction.
- Improve inventory positioning and replenishment plans using system-generated data and performance targets.
- Arrange inventory movement between locations to reduce shortages, avoid overstock, and keep records accurate.
- Help carry out product standardization and ensure product changeovers are implemented without disruption.
- Maintain productive relationships with internal partners to support service levels and day-to-day operations.
- Oversee vendor interactions while ensuring organizational policies and compliance requirements are met.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a similar discipline is required.
- Relevant background of 3 to 5 years in supply chain or logistics, preferably in healthcare.
- At least 1 to 3 years of experience in a supervisory or people-management role.
Skills and Experience
- Solid understanding of logistics workflows, inventory management, and distribution.
- Proven ability to guide teams operating across different facilities and schedules.
- Experience using ERP or materials management platforms such as PeopleSoft.
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to turn data into practical action.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and reporting tools.
- Clear communication and strong stakeholder relationship management.
- Ability to coordinate third-party logistics and transportation activities.
- Comfort working with budgets and measuring financial performance.
Additional Information
This role involves travel between sites to provide operational support and oversight. Experience in healthcare or hospital operations is strongly preferred, and supply chain certifications will be considered an advantage.
