Role overview
Mount Isa Mines is seeking a Storeperson to join the Supply Chain team at its Mount Isa, Queensland site. This is a residential position with a Monday to Friday, 5/2 roster. The opportunity is aimed at motivated local candidates who value reliability, commitment, and pride in representing both Glencore and the Mount Isa community.
The role sits within the Supply & Logistics area and focuses on supporting the safe and efficient flow of materials across site operations. You will handle day-to-day warehouse and inventory tasks, work with internal teams and external transport providers, and help maintain a tidy, safe, and compliant storage environment.

Role responsibilities
- Carry out warehouse and inventory duties safely and in line with site procedures and safety requirements.
- Receive, inspect, and register incoming materials, checking them against purchase orders and delivery paperwork.
- Pick, issue, and send materials to meet operational needs accurately and on time.
- Keep inventory data current in approved systems such as ERP or inventory management platforms.
- Complete stock counts, cycle counts, and support full stocktakes when required.
- Use forklift, light vehicles, and other approved equipment in accordance with licences, procedures, and risk controls.
- Store, move, and handle materials safely to reduce the risk of damage, loss, or incidents.
- Spot and escalate stock differences, damaged goods, and safety concerns.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and compliant warehouse area.
- Work professionally with internal stakeholders, transport providers, and contractors.
Skills and experience
You should be a dependable, safety-conscious store or warehouse professional who values accuracy, organisation, and practical support for site operations.
- Heavy Rigid (HR) driver licence is preferred; support will be provided to obtain it.
- Warehouse or logistics qualification is preferred; support will be provided to gain it.
- Experience in warehousing, supply, logistics, or inventory control in industrial, mining, or large organisational settings is desirable but not essential.
- Strong numerical, literacy, and detail-oriented skills to keep records and inventory accurate.
- Commitment to safe work practices and procedure compliance.
- Ability to use computer systems and maintain accurate digital records; training will be provided.
- Good organisation and the ability to juggle competing priorities.
- Proactive approach with an interest in continuous improvement and quality service.
- Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Current C-class manual driver’s licence is mandatory.
- Current High Risk Work Licence LF (forklift) is required; support will be provided to obtain it during working hours without pay deduction.
